My past like everyone’s has secrets
To some they create a judging platform
To others they bring an excuse, but
Truth is you and I are different…
Different from what we really are
Different in the fact that; our closets
are our shadow selves…
Only that they are not our reflections.
Just like in movies, doppelgangers are never the same
The skeletons we hide, are more dreadful than our exes
What we hide is for our hearts alone
That is everybody’s to keep
When you meet someone new,
Tell them about the past you if you wish to ask for their pasts
Do not judge what you know not.
